LWN Pro

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

Overview

LWN Pro ("we," "us," "our") makes WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, including LWN Multi-Step Checkout and LWN Icons. This policy covers two separate things: (1) how this website, lwnpro.com, handles your information, and (2) how the LWN Multi-Step Checkout plugin handles information once it's installed on a customer's own WooCommerce store. We keep those separate on purpose — they involve different data and different responsibilities, explained below.

Information collected on this website

This site does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers, and it has no contact form. The only personal information we collect is what you send us directly by email if you choose to reach out — your address, name if you provide one, and whatever your message contains.

We do not require an account to browse this site, and we do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we use this information

We use anything you email us solely to respond to your enquiry — support questions, licensing questions, or general feedback. We keep message history in our support inbox for as long as reasonably needed to resolve your request and maintain a support record, and delete it on request (see "Your rights" below).

Third-party services we use

A couple of external services are involved in running this site:

Information handled by the LWN Multi-Step Checkout plugin

LWN Multi-Step Checkout is a plugin that runs on a store owner's own WordPress and WooCommerce installation. It changes how the checkout page is displayed — splitting it into steps — using WooCommerce's existing hooks and the data WooCommerce already collects (name, address, payment details, etc.) during checkout on that store.

We (LWN Pro) do not receive, transmit, or store that checkout data on our own servers. It stays entirely within the store owner's WooCommerce installation, under their control and their own privacy policy — the same as it would with WooCommerce's default checkout. If you're a shopper with a privacy question about a specific store's checkout, that store owner is the right party to contact, not us.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you — for example, emails sitting in our support inbox. Get in touch and we'll act on it within a reasonable time. If you're in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, this covers the access, deletion, and correction rights those regions' privacy laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA) provide; we don't currently have a dedicated Data Protection Officer, but requests can be sent to the same contact channel.

Children's privacy

This site and our plugins are intended for business use by store owners and developers, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or our services change. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above. We'd encourage checking back periodically if this matters to you.
